Students will propose, develop, and complete an independent capstone project, including a seminar-length paper and a presentation, in the medical humanities. You will identify a topic within the field of medical humanities of special interest to you, and about which you can contribute knowledge and perspective to meaningfully impact the health and well-being of others in your career path, educational area, or other spheres of influence including individual, family, institutional, cultural, political, national or global communities. The work in this course may be combined with or complement a research assistantship, undergraduate teaching assistantship, directed readings list, or internship. The course is primarily for students completing a Medical Humanities certificate and/or a Liberal Arts degree with a major in  Medicine, Health & Society. The capstone project must be developed with appropriate faculty guidance and relevant supervisory body (Medical Humanities certificate director, Liberal Arts in Medicine, Health & Society director, or the A&S Interdisciplinary Council). – Prerequisite Definition: To take this course you must: Have taken the following Course ENGL1001 min grade C-.
